Appointment of Investment Director

The Board of Caledonian Holdings plc (AIM:CHP), an AIM-quoted investing company focused on the financial services market, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Keith Barclay as an Investment Director. Mr. Barclay is expected to be appointed to the Board of the Company subject to the satisfactory completion of the customary regulatory due diligence.

Mr. Barclay is a well-rounded private equity professional with extensive experience in growth capital investments, having led or played a key role in a wide range and number of equity transactions and multiple successful exits. Most recently, he served as a senior investor at BGF (Business Growth Fund), one of the UK's largest and most active investment firms, where he worked from 2015 to 2024. During this time, he was responsible for leading end-to-end investment processes across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on deal origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. He served on the boards of several portfolio companies, supporting growth through strategies including M&A, internationalisation, and technology investment.

Prior to BGF, Keith held roles as Investment Manager at Souter Investments, where he focused on strategic planning and portfolio oversight, and as a corporate finance analyst and legal adviser, including a position at Blás Limited. He began his career as a trainee solicitor at Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP.

Keith holds an LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen and qualified as a solicitor through the Law Society of Scotland. He brings strong commercial acumen, a broad sectoral knowledge base, and a proven ability to originate and execute high-quality investments.
