Tom Hickey, Managing Director, James McCullough, Chief Financial Officer and Ben Baxter, Chief Operations Officer will present the HY25 results to 30 June 2025 announced on 20 August.
Kenmare Resources plc is an established mining company, which operates the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine located on the north east coast of Mozambique. Listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Dublin, Kenmare is one of the world’s largest producers of titanium minerals, serving a global customer base operating in over 15 countries. With an 18 year production history, the Company’s products are key raw materials ultimately consumed in everyday “quality-of-life” products such as paints, plastics and ceramic tiles.
Tom Hickey, Managing Director
Tom Hickey joined Kenmare in September 2022 as Finance Director and he was appointed as Managing Director in August 2024. He has 24 years’ experience as a Director of various public companies. This includes eight years as Chief Financial Officer of the African and South American-focused oil and gas producer Tullow Oil plc from 2000 to 2008. Tom also held senior financial roles with the oil and gas exploration company Petroceltic International plc between 2010 and 2016, including latterly as Chief Financial Officer. Tom has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Diploma in Professional Accounting, both from University College Dublin, and he is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants.
James McCullough, Chief Financial Officer
James McCullough joined Kenmare in May 2025. James brings extensive mining, strategic and financial experience, having served for 14 years with Rio Tinto Plc, most recently as General Manager – Group Strategy. Prior to joining Rio, James was a Natural Resources Equity Analyst with Davy Group, where he covered a wide range of natural resources companies, including Kenmare. James has a PhD in Engineering from University College Dublin and an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant.
Ben Baxter, Chief Operations Officer
Ben Baxter joined Kenmare in January 2015. He spent the previous eighteen years working directly in the titanium feedstock industry for Rio Tinto. Ben held a broad range of roles at Rio Tinto’s Richards Bay Minerals including, Senior Geologist, Mineral Separation Plant Manager and Mining Manager. Ben took on the role of General Manager Operations of the Rio Tinto QMM mineral sands Mine in Madagascar in 2010, overseeing a significant increase in production volumes. In 2013, Ben returned to Richards Bay as General Manager Mining where his focus was on building safety culture, reducing costs and increasing efficiencies. Ben holds a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines.
