Metals One CEO Jonathan Owen joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce promising re-assay results from the Black Schist Project in Finland, revealing high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt-zinc mineralization at the Paltamo P1 target. The historical diamond core drillholes re-assayed by the company showed strong intersections of mineralization within a black schist sequence, reinforcing Metals One’s aim to expand its existing resource from 57.1 Mt to a potential 200 Mt.
The P1 target, located 8 km north of P5, has shown promising indications of a larger, shallow mineral resource. Historical drilling in the area identified a 15m-25m thick zone of nickel mineralization, with potential for expansion to the west, north, and south.
These results bolster Metals One’s resource expansion strategy, and the company is now considering a drilling program to further define the resource area based on the re-assay findings. This discovery marks another step forward for Metals One in its ongoing exploration and resource-building efforts at the Black Schist Project.
