RC Fornax PLC (AIM:RCFX) CEO Paul Reeves talked with Proactive about the company’s evolution, strategic priorities, and future outlook in the UK defence sector.
Founded in 2020, RC Fornax was built to improve efficiency in defence project delivery. Reeves said the company initially focused on small, rigidly scoped teams, but has since evolved to deliver larger projects by integrating the capabilities of other SMEs. Reeves outlined how the company is all about ensuring the right expertise is applied at precisely the right moment in delivery, describing the company's outcome-based model.
Reeves noted that their military background brings deep sector knowledge and a strong focus on output, while clients value the firm’s guidance from early project scoping to delivery. Their associate community model enables flexible and rapid scaling of engineering talent.
The CEO highlighted the UK Government's Strategic Defence Review (SDR) earlier this year as a temporary pause that allowed RC Fornax to restructure, resulting in new leadership hires and improved sales processes. Reeves said this reset helped drive the company’s strongest quarter in FY26, supported by £2.20 million in new work and a robust pipeline.
He also discussed expansion into automotive and renewables, as well as a new public sector space contract, marking a key shift toward integrated, IP-generative delivery. Looking ahead, Reeves described the Procure X platform as the “most exciting opportunity” in UK defence today.
