Notting Hill Genesis appoints new chief customer officer

Notting Hill Genesis (NHG), one of London's largest not-for-profit housing associations, has appointed Victor da Cunha to the role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO) - a key milestone in its transformation journey.  

NHG provides more than 65,000 quality homes for more than 130,000 people across London and beyond, who would otherwise struggle to afford them.  Victor da Cunha will play a meaningful role in supporting NHG to return to regulatory compliance, in particular around the consumer standards rating.

With more than three decades of experience in social housing, Victor is currently CEO of Curo, a housing association in the South West of England managing over 14,000 homes. Since 2011, he has led the transformation and improvement journey of Curo from regulatory supervision 14 years ago, through a group restructure and integration, to an organisation delivering high quality outcomes for customers and an inspection judgement in July 2025 by the Regulator of Social Housing which included the highest grade 1 judgement for consumer standards.  He is also a Board member of the National Housing Federation and chair of its national Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Housing Group, where he has helped support the introduction of several sector-wide EDI initiatives including the Chair's Challenge for greater diversity at board level.

Joining as CCO following a competitive selection process, Victor will be part of a re-energised leadership team, working collectively to transform NHG as a resident-focussed organisation making a significant contribution to the UK's housing crisis.  Today's announcement follows the arrival of Tabitha Kassem in April 2025 as Chief Governance & Risk Officer, and Craig Wilcockson in December 2024 as Chief People Officer.

Victor da Cunha will take up his post in March 2026.  Chyrel Brown will continue as Interim Chief Customer Officer until that time.
