All three of Voestalpine’s steel divisions achieved rising prices, but two of them saw shipment volumes falling. As a result, Q2 revenue was only up by 1.9% to €2.79bn (+4.1% to €5.8bn in H1). Lower capacity utilisation has also translated into lower profits, but we had expected even lower revenue and profit numbers.
