Crédit Agricole SA (CASA) released this morning its numbers for Q3 20. These were better than expected across-the-board. Total revenues were indeed above expectations while total expenses and loan losses were below, leading to an operating income more than 25% above expectations.
As expected, the beat at the top-line level was mostly driven by the CIB but French retail banking positively surprised as well (in contrast to BNPP’s FRB top line yesterday).
