The number of passengers was up in the last month and this contradicts management’s earlier statements that pre-bookings for the summer season were poor. The July number of 11.2m passengers has translated into a ytd number of 62.4m, an increase of 0.9%. However, the growth rate for seat-kilometre demand (+2.5%) was insufficient to match the offer (+3.5%). Consequently, the SLF fell by 0.9pp to 86.0% in the last month and by 1.8pp to 78.0% ytd. The FLF development was even more negative.
