Linde has experienced the expected slowdown in revenue growth in Q3. Sales were up by 3.3% to just above €4.5bn which brought the ytd number to €13.55bn, an increase of 7.7%. As last year’s Q3 profit numbers were very weak indeed, EBIT and pre-tax earnings increased by 55% and 66% to €508m and €405m, respectively. The respective ytd numbers now stand at €1.53bn (+9.5%) and €1.23bn (+8.3%). We had expected slightly higher revenue and profit numbers.
