Axel Springer released its FY17 results with solid operational performances, while the net profit decreased due to an unfavourable basis of comparison. However, a cautious FY18e guidance triggered some pressure on the stock which was down c.6%. We consider this reaction as a bit excessive as the group made the choice to increase its profitability at the expense of too much top-line growth.
