San Francisco’s Superior Court Judge Suzanne Ramos Bolanos has rejected Bayer’s arguments that the jury did not have any basis to conclude that the herbicide (e.g. Glyphosate – trade name) caused a former school groundskeeper’s cancer. But the judge cut the putative damage from USD250m down to USD39.3m. The deadline for the plaintiff to accept the total USD78.6m ends on 07/12/18 and Bayer plans to appeal the ruling.
