The latest numbers from major ports around the world suggest that the number of TEUs continued to rise in recent months. In fact, the latest numbers from Singapore show 3.0% growth for Q1 17 and 7.7% for April of this year. The April growth rate was even more astonishing at Long Beach (+16%) which might suggest that Asian trade with North America has been particularly strong. Unfortunately, Q2 numbers for Hamburg will only be available in mid-August.
