The group posted a good set of results characterised by a strong net interest margin improvement and cost control as well as a stable benign net cost of risk. The sharp improvement in the capital position, which now stands comfortably above the reduced MDA floor, is welcome in a context of strong reliance to internal models (82% of credit RWAs). The dividend distribution is still expected to resume in H1 18, albeit from a modest payout level.
