Husqvarna had weak organic sales in Q2 19 (-3%) due to the slow sell-out start in the quarter in the Husqvarna division (-6%) and the tough comparative at the Gardena division (+1% vs +10% in Q2 18). However, the group’s operating income improved significantly in Q2 19 (+1.9pt to 15.4% of sales) thanks to price increases, cost savings and the exit of non-profitable Consumer Brands’ products and a positive currency effect that offset higher tariffs and raw material costs.
