BBVA has received an offer it wants to accept for its 68.2% stake in BBVA Chile. The group expects a €640m net gain and a 50bp lift on its fully-loaded CET1 ratio. The bidder, Scotiabank, has to obtain regulatory approvals and launch a tender offer for all BBVA Chile shares. The proposed deal is fairly neutral on valuation.
