Next has left its central sales and profit guidance for the current year unchanged having beaten its internal forecasts by 1.3 percentage points (£10m of sales) for the quarter driven by warm weather in April. No increase in central guidance may be seen as disappointing as may the fact that the 1Q out-performance seems to have been restricted to its stores.
