SIMEC Atlantis (SAE) have announced that Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners have given formal notice to lease the land at the Uskmouth site for one of the UK’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS) projects (230MW/460MWh). This displays good progress as the company looks to reach financial close on the project in 2023, at which point SAE will receive a further £4m in development premium.
