Phoenix Copper has today announced that following a geological investigation into the structural controls of the Red Star silver-lead mineralisation in Idaho it has refined its exploration approach. A study by a local expert (Dr Rogers of Idaho State University who has extensive mapping experience in the area) has shown that the rich silver-lead ore forms at the contact of the Mackay Granite and the White Knob limestone formation – specifically in magnetite-rich skarns.
