Interim results show a reduction in underlying sales with profits affected by the enlarged cost base as signalled in a recent trading update. Management continue to emphasise that they expect a much stronger 2H based on the timing of their order book, with an acceleration of order intake since the period-end particularly of short-order work. No change to EBITA forecasts with a 2.2% EPS cut due to a higher interest charge. Our 113p price target is based on a P/E of 12.6x for 2018. While this is undemanding, sentiment will remain focused on the group’s ability to achieve 2H profit delivery.
