Hibernia is an internally managed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a portfolio comprised largely of city centre offices and developments in Dublin. At endSeptember 2016, the company’s portfolio included 28 properties valued at €1.0bn. The office portfolio, which makes up c. 90% of the company’s property assets by value, had a potential total net lettable area of 1.6m sq.ft., of which 961,000 sq.ft. consisted of in-place offices, with a further 230,000 sq.ft of committed developments and a longer-term development pipeline of approximately 400,000 sq.ft.. The acquisition in December 2016 of the 50% interest in 1 Windmill Lane Hibernia did not already own, took the potential total lettable area to 1.7m sq.ft., and committed developments to 291,000 sq.ft.
