According to data compiled by the University of Minnesota, net profits of corn farmers peaked in 2012 at $175,079 only to fall to $55,000 in 2013 and 2014. This does not leave them with sufficient funds to buy new agricultural machinery like tractors and combines. CNHI’s Agricultural Equipment division suffered a 30% revenue and a 57% EBIT fall in H1 15.
