FTSE 100 started today as it finished yesterday, gaining 19 points to 7,263 as US stocks recovered slightly after Monday’s battering.
TUI expects to climb back into the black this year as the travel market continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The German travel company reported strong growth in bookings and capacity for the second quarter to end-March 2022.
ITV also reported better than expected first-quarter advertising. Total ad revenue climbed 16% in the first three months of the year, beating average City forecasts.
