Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF)'s (Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF)) new CEO Ben Turney joins Proactive London to talk about the identified strong gravity anomaly at the Great Red Spot (GSR) target area at its Kalahari Suture Zone (KSZ) project in Botswana.
The gravity anomaly is roughly 7km in diameter at its widest along the North-South geophysical lines. This comes after already identifying a large-scale (11km) diameter magnetic anomaly at GRS and the gravity anomaly is coincident with that.
Gravity anomalies are caused by density contrasts in rock units relative to the background geology. In mineral exploration a strong gravity anomaly can indicate the presence of an intrusion, alteration and mineralisation.
