Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV) Ben Turney joins Proactive London's Katie Pilbeam to discuss the rationale behind renewing its two prospecting licences for the LVR project in the Kalahari Copper Belt (KCB) in Botswana.
He explains why they chose Friday afternoon to announce they have requested Mindea Exploration and Drilling Services (Pty) to extend Hole TA2DD002 to 1,000m depth, which is the technical limit of the drill rig on site within acceptable safety margins, to assist in further developing and refining the Company's model of the KSZ.
Prior to this the firm unearthed what it said appears to be signs of copper mineralisation in pyroxenite at 651m from surface at its Kalahari Suture Zone (KSZ) exploration project in Botswana.
The hole, TA2DD002, is currently being drilled in the northern (Hukuntsi) section of the 100% owned KSZ project.
