S&U PLC's (LON:SUS) Anthony Coombs talks to Proactive London's Katie Pilbeam about the financing company's latest trading update which he is "very encouraged" by.
He says despite the slowdown in November due to the second lockdown, once the economy gets back on track, S&U "will be able to resume our normal rates of growth".
Coombs says the pandemic has highlighted "people's distrust in public transport and the fact that they want their own little space, in their own little car", as a result, the market was favouring the smaller used car sector in which Advantage specialises.
He says their recovery is not "as smooth as we would like because the government keeps changing their policies".
Meanwhile, the firm said its Aspen Bridging finance arm has achieved a “landmark” £100mln of lending since its foundation.
