The first round of voting amongst members of Parliament of the Conservative Party is over and Boris Johnson has a significant lead. In the next round next Tuesday, the number of candidates for leader of the Conservative Party will be whittled down some more, but given the strong result of Boris Johnson, the soft Brexit candidates like Jeremy Hunt who came in second place and Michael Gove who came in third will have to decide by Friday, if they form a coalition to oppose Boris Johnson and guarantee a r un off between him and a soft Brexit candidate.
