New non-executive director appointed to the UK Civil Aviation Authority Board

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has today announced the appointment of Charmion Pears as a non-executive director on its Board.

Charmion brings extensive experience in public sector governance and audit. She will also serve as Chair of the Civil Aviation Authority's Audit & Risk Committee. Her appointment supports the Board's focus on transparency, accountability, and effective oversight.

Sir Stephen Hillier, Chair of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said:

"Charmion brings valuable experience and insight to our Board at an important time in the aerospace sector. We look forward to working with her as we continue to deliver our mission to protect people and enable aerospace."

Keir Mathers MP, Aviation Minister at the Department for Transport, said:
