Appointment of Director

Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors ('Board') of Tata Steel Limited ('the Company') has today, i.e., May 27, 2023 unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Shekhar C. Mande (DIN: 10083454) as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent) effective June 1, 2023 to hold office of Director up to the date of the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company. Further, the Board has approved the appointment of Dr. Mande as an Independent Director of the Company for a term of 5 years effective June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2028 subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company.

There are no inter-se relations between Dr. Mande and the other members of the Board. Further, he is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any Order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other such authority.

The details in respect of Dr. Shekhar C. Mande are enclosed herewith in Annexure A.
