Talga has today announced that the appeals lodged against its mining permit for the Vittangi mine have been rejected by the Swedish Land and Environment Court. There remains one appeal avenue left for opponents, through the Supreme Court in Sweden, where any final appeal would have to be lodged by 28th September and would require special grounds such as a claim of a miscarriage of justice or a gross error in law. This announcement marks substantial de-risking for the project and will allow focus to turn to progressing with financing.
