Thales has announced that it will acquire Vormetric, a leading US provider of data protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures for $400m. Vormetric is based in San Jose, California, and will merge with Thales’ E-security business which also has an office in San Jose. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 16.
