Keyera announced on the morning of August 7, 2015, that an operational incident during maintenance at its Simonette Gas Plant on Wednesday, August 5, saw sour gas enter the Alliance Pipeline, resulting in the shutdown of the 1.6 bcf/d Alliance system, which transports gas from northeast B.C. and northwestern Alberta to the Chicago region.
