Our levelised cost of storage analysis suggests that Invinity’s ENDURIUM flow battery is the ideal product for the UK’s long duration energy cap and floor mechanism at durations below 12 hours. Pumped hydro may be a fit for longer durations but there is doubt over how cost overruns might be penalised. As a result, we see ENDURIUM as extremely well-placed for the scheme.
