Drax’s acquisition of three short duration energy storage projects makes a good fit with the existing flexible generation assets in our view. We see the deal on the first three assets as good value before the additional option over further sites. The additional types of flexible generation build out Drax’s portfolio allowing it trading opportunities in market we see as becoming more volatile over the next few years.
