SAE Renewables has completed financial close on its AW1 battery energy storage system (BESS) project at the Uskmouth Sustainable Energy Park in Wales. This is a 240MWh project with an ability to double the capacity to 480MWh. SAE will hold 75% of the project funded by the recent CCR loan and sale of the land which will then be leased to the project. With potential annual EBITDA of £9m and commissioning in Q1 2027, this project is a key win for SAE in our view.
