Q1 trading a little disappointing
Renold’s Q1 trading update is a little disappointing. While management’s expectations for full year adjusted operating profit are unchanged, this reflects a decline in underlying sales (we have modest growth forecast for FY2016) offset by margin gains. We do not anticipate changing our forecasts at this stage, but would not be surprised to see the shares weaken on concerns about the direction of the sales line.
