Duke Capital has increased its equity stake in United Glass Group ("UGG"), from 30.0% to 73.8%, through a £2.9m secondary share purchase from existing shareholders. Duke has historically been limited by accounting to taking equity stakes no greater than 30%, but recently adopted IFRS10, Investor Entity Exemption, giving it the additional flexibility to take increased equity – UGG marks the first transaction post this change.
