On the back of the announcement by IGas Energy (IGAS LN), Egdon Resources (EDR LN) has provided an update on the core analysis from the Springs Road (SR-1) well drilled earlier this year where EDR has a 14.5% interest in the license. The results confirm the initial findings which, in our view, were highly positive and indicated a favourable comparison to the leading US commercial shale plays. The testwork was carried out by a leading independent laboratory, Stratum Reservoir.
