Frontier IP has signed a 20-year partnership with Abstract Mid-Tech to create an innovation hub at the new South Cambridge Science Centre (SCSC). Strategically, this enhances Frontier’s presence within a globally recognised innovation cluster, providing a permanent base for its commercialisation team, portfolio companies, and aligned external tenants in deeptech and life sciences. The hub is expected to accelerate deal flow, improve access to funding and exits, and support NAV growth. The structure is self-funding, with an upfront £1m payment, 12 months rent-free, and rental income expected to generate positive cash contributions. The facility is expected to contribute to group overheads. With the shares trading at a ~70% discount to NAV, we believe execution of this initiative, alongside growing portfolio traction, offers a clear path to narrowing the discount.
