It has been another very challenging period and conditions since the half year end have not improved. Management continues to proactively position the Group away from the most difficult areas and exposure to thermal coal markets will be reduced over the next 18 months. We reflect conditions in reduced forecasts today, but management remains confident that profitability can be maintained and cash generated whilst new opportunities such as those offered by the Blackwell acquisition and by the property portfolio are pursued.
