Portable X-Ray Fluorescence (pXRF) is proving a boon in Cora’s elephant hunt at its promising Madina Foulbé project in Senegal, supporting more-targeted and lower-cost exploration in future. At Tambor (the largest of the project’s four major gold-in-soil anomalies), pXRF has enabled a clear link to be established between mafic lithologies and gold mineralisation over a large area – in Cora’s words, an “extremely promising” sign of what might lie at depth underneath the soil anomaly.
