Its solution can be produced at wafer scale, eliminating costly manual steps, and allowing it to be easily produced in large quantities and at low cost. Recently, POET's technology has been successfully used for light sources powering the connections between GPUs and memory chips in Artificial Intelligence processors. We believe POET's platform can be applied to many other large photonics markets including AI, high-speed computing, co-packaged optics, Medtech, wearables, augmented reality, LIDAR, and the Internet of Things.
