Since 2015, Rubean AG has acted as the holding company for the two subsidiaries Rubean Device Solutions GmbH and Smart Payment Solutions GmbH, to which the operating business was spun off following their establishment in 2014. Rubean Device Solutions GmbH develops, produces and distributes software and hardware products, other information technologies and associated application consulting. The core product is the DRubeans software solution, which is used to control various peripheral devices in bank branches, such as printers or automated teller safes. Smart Payment Solutions GmbH develops online payment methods based on a smartphone app and an NFC-enabled bank chip card. With that Rubean is a leading provider of software for contactless POS/mPOS payment solutions for banks, acquirers and merchants.
