Cobra Resources Plc (LSE:COBR) Chief Executive Officer & Director, Rupert Verco, talked with Proactive about the significant progress made at the Boland Prospect in South Australia at the One2One Investor Forum. Eighteen months since its rare earth discovery, Cobra Resources continues to enhance its position with key advancements.
Verco detailed how the geology at Boland supports a controlled, low-cost in-situ recovery method, distinguishing it from other environmentally challenging methods seen in China and Myanmar. He emphasised that Cobra holds strategic advantages due to its scalable resources and unique permeability, yielding high recovery rates with minimal environmental impact.
The CEO explained the ongoing pilot studies and highlighted promising bench-scale tests achieving up to 86% recovery rates, reinforcing the project’s cost competitiveness.
Future plans include a maiden mineral resource estimate and advancing resource drilling. The company’s focus on rare earths aligns with global shifts towards sustainable and independent production outside of China, positioning Cobra Resources as a potential key player in the field.
