Blencowe Resources (LSE:BRES) has now completed its stage 7 deep drilling programme at the Orom-Cross Graphite Project with Northern Syncline drilling results confirming continuity of a significant graphite resource which may host over 2 billion tonnes of graphite. Today's discovery signifies the Orom-Cross graphite project could be significantly larger than first envisaged with graphite discovered at a depth of c.100m at Northern Syncline, similar to those witnessed at the Beehive deposit 3km away, suggesting a significant and continuous mineralisation body more than three times deeper than the previous 30-metre production horizon. Chief Executive Officer Mike Ralston, discusses what has been discovered by the deep drilling and what it could mean for the overall project dynamics and valuation of BRES: - How the discovery of continuous mineralisation at depth at both the Northern Syncline and Beehive deposits could signify a significant and continuous ore body - Why the geophysics indicates the possibility of an enormous graphite deposit which, based on limited fieldwork, suggests a potential resource expansion to over 2 billion tonnes of graphite - What has been the major factors leading to the delayed Definitive Feasibility Study to date - How the drilling results can now supplement an updated JORC resource, and provide 'critical mass' production profile data for the Definitive Feasibility Study - What newsflow investors should now expect from BRES including an updated JORC report and publication of the DFS with upgraded NPV Reasons to add Blencowe Resources Plc (LSE:BRES) to your watchlist: - Blencowe is 100% owner of the Orom-Cross Graphite project in Uganda, one of the world's largest estimated graphite deposits - Pre-Feasibility Study (2022) indicates long mine-life, high-margin, low CAPEX mining operation with a post-tax NPV8 of US$482m - Plans to build an in-country downstream purification facility in Uganda to upgrade graphite concentrate to battery ready SPG - making Blencowe one of the few delivering 99.95% purified graphite products outside of China - BRES has received US$5m grant from the DFC, LoI for funding from the AFC and is a member of the international SAFELOOP consortium - a €100 billion European initiative focused on the EU's renewable energy transition - and received full Minerals Security - Partnership accreditation, which provides international exposure at the highest level - Positive newsflow expected from upgraded JORC report and publication of the DFS expected later this year with first production targeted 2026 Mike Ralston, CEO of Blencowe Resources was interviewed for focusIR by Sarah Lowther.
