Anglo Asian Mining (LON:AAZ) has cleared all its bank loans and is now debt free. The Azerbaijan-based gold miner took out a refinancing loan in February 2018 and now paid off the final instalment.
Directa Plus (LON:DCTA) has secured a safety certification for its G+ graphene printing technology. The Eco Passport’s an independent certification system for chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry.
AFC Energy (LON:AFC) will today showcase an off-grid diesel generation system that can lead to an immediate 50% reduction in carbon emissions. The system uses AFC’s hydrogen fuel cells and is aimed at an estimated US$20bn market.
Gas and electricity providers will have to pay automatic compensation if there are any hiccups in transferring a customer to a new supplier. Customers switching will receive £30 if the move is not completed within 30 days.
Ocado boss Tim Steiner has received a £54mln bonus from the grocery fulfilment outfit. Ocado posted losses of £215mln but has signed deals with several major grocery chains including M&S. Steiner’s total pay including salary and other bonuses was £58.7mln.
And Dunelm expects to beat the market’s profit expectations this year after a decent start to the second half of the year. There has been no impact yet from coronavirus said the retailer. Like-for-like sales in the first half rose by 5.6%.
