Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's Phase 2 infill trenching results for the Mbe project in Cameroon. Rosser shared highlights, including significant results from the Mbe South and North prospects. He noted, "One trenching result [at Mbe South] showed 79 meters at 0.43g per tonne, a significant length," with Mbe North showing even longer intervals. According to Rosser, these results align well with phase one trenching data, underscoring the consistency of mineralisation across the project.
Rosser elaborated on the Mbe project’s potential, identifying substantial mineralised corridors in both the North and South prospects. He highlighted that Mbe South showed a 500-meter mineralised zone, while Mbe North revealed a 450-meter corridor, showing impressive continuity.
Looking ahead, Rosser shared that the next phase involves a maiden drilling program, expected to commence this quarter, to probe the mineralised zones at depth. This step will be critical to assessing the resource's viability. Rosser remarked, “As they say in exploration, the drilling machine is the truth machine,” expressing optimism about verifying the depth and quality of mineralisation at Mbe.
