Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with the latest exploration and technical updates for the Bibemi project. Rosser shared insights into the excellent core recovery and the 1,000 meters drilled on the BZ1 mineral resource estimate area, with results from initial samples expected this quarter. He highlighted the engagement of SGS South Africa for the next phase of mineralogical and metallurgical test work, designed to determine the mineralogical makeup and its metallurgical response to leaching.
Rosser explained the discoveries made from the recent work at Bibemi, including intersected multiple shell dipping and steeply dipping quartz tourmaline veins, encouraging for additional near-surface mineralisation within the existing open pit design limits. Future work plans include a 3,500-meter survey of predominantly inclined holes in the BZ1 MRE zone to expand and upgrade the existing JORC inferred resource, along with 25 holes planned for BZ1 North East and BZ1 South West areas.
Discussing the significance of the exploitation license application submission, Rosser mentioned that it is a necessary step towards securing license tenure and advancing towards the feasibility study stage. This includes technical studies and an independent environmental and social impact assessment.
Expected results and updates from Bibemi in the coming months include drilling results from the phase five program, progress on the ELA, and results from ongoing mapping and rock chip sampling.
