Scotgold CEO Phil Day explains how intensive tunnelling in the first quarter has laid the base for it to start growing production over the rest of the year.
The Scottish miner is already starting to see the benefit, he says, with end-March production at close to predicted levels while April has been a ‘bit of a bonanza’ so far.
Day adds the aim is to smooth the ups and downs and get each month and quarter more or less the same.
