Powerhouse Energy Group is partnering with Avioxx on Project Eden. This pilot facility aims to produce 200 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel annually using waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Powerhouse will supply two 2.5-tonne-per-day gasification units from its testing site in Bridgend. These units will convert the waste into syngas, a crucial component in the production of sustainable aviation fuel.
Meanwhile, Premier African Minerals and its Chinese partner, Canmax, have reaffirmed their commitment to the smooth operation of the Zulu lithium project in Zimbabwe. Both companies are focused on achieving production and fulfilling the prepayment agreement, which was crucial for the project’s development.
Staying with natural resources, Zephyr Energy has started work on an extended lateral on its State 36-2 well in the Cane Creek reservoir in Utah's Paradox Basin. This involves drilling an additional 5,500 feet horizontally from the existing wellbore. Zephyr anticipates completing the drilling phase within 30 days. After that, the drill rig will be removed and replaced with equipment for completion and production testing. •
Digital payments specialist Bango has announced a "solid" performance with a 16% rise in revenue to $53.4 million for the past year. This strong performance led to a more than doubling of underlying earnings. Bango's transactional revenue climbed 11% to $36.2 million, or 14% on a constant currency basis. Revenue from its Digital Vending Machine and one-off projects surged by 28% to $17.2 million.
Technology Minerals subsidiary Recyclus Group has successfully recycled fire-damaged lithium-ion battery packs from an electric vehicle manufacturer. The batteries were processed at Recyclus' Wolverhampton facility, where they were dismantled and recycled after being affected by a thermal event.
January has been a busy month for Recyclus, with this project marking their third new customer, following agreements with two major automotive companies and a leading online retailer.
Finally, Kodal Minerals has reported that the power plant at its Bougouni lithium project is now fully operational. This milestone paves the way for the full commissioning of the Stage 1 Dense Media Separation processing plant shortly.
