Rod McIllree, Bluejay Mining PLC’s (LON:JAY) chief executive, tells Proactive that all three of its projects in Greenland are shaping up nicely with plenty of interest from mining giants.
Dundas is the flagship and here a bulk sample of mineral sands has been shipped to a Rio Tinto facility in Canada.
BlueJay is keen to get its mining permit approved and to tie-up partner offtake agreements, says McIllree.
Disko, meanwhile, is attracting lots of attention following Anglo American’s decision to snap up licences all around BlueJay’s acreage.
This prospect will be drilled next year with or without a partner, says McIllree, who adds Disko is looking like a unique asset globally.
Maiden drilling is also planned at Kangerluarsuk, where McIllree adds: ‘The more we look at it, the more we like it’.
